Q- Do I have to track every single thing I eat? Forever?
A- I think everyone should spend some time tracking what they eat. After you do this for a bit , you will no longer have to. You will have a very good idea of how many calories are in foods, what real serving sizes look like. If you start going backwards , start tracking again.
Most people have one or two habits they have to really track. Beer? Candy? Fast food? Most people know what the real issue is. When I am coaching members, I hold them accountable. Some people try to deny the real issue.

Although getting back into your fitness routine can be hard, it doesn’t have to be complicated. Check out a few of my random thoughts for starting a fitness program.
How to Start a Fitness Program, So You Can Maintain It
Get started before you’re ready! – If your mind had its way, you’d never be ready. The thoughts in your head try and talk you out of it, convince you to sleep in longer. Or it comes up with a hundred other excuses. At some point,
you just have to jump in.
Begin at a reasonable pace - You might see a lot of “go hard or go home” memes on the internet. But, being the person who goes hard, also finds themselves going home injured every week! Working hard is okay, but working smart is the key.
Do what you can, with what you have – We all have to start somewhere! At RPT, we know plenty of modifications regardless of your previous exercise history and background. And if you’ve been injured before, no problem. The extra attention we
provide will keep you safe.
Make some nutritional changes – When you eat right, you feel better, and have more energy. In turn, this increases your motivation to stick to your fitness program. Every little bit helps, even if that means eating less ice cream this week.
Invest in an expert, to save time and money – How many times have you tried to figure it out yourself? It’s hard when you try to do it alone. With some guidance and accountability, it’s much easier. If you’re looking for a trainer or expert, do your research. There are a lot of overnight certified trainers who lack experience. Choose wisely
