Over the course of the year there will be three phases of a transformation ……
☑️Everything is going just perfect phase - (2-4 months out of the year for most people)
☑️Life is throwing curve balls and a few 99MPH fastballs at you (6 to 8 months out of the year)
☑️Typical - this is the rest of the year. It's just kind of, average.
I am not going to spend too much time discussing the perfect phase. It does not last very long at all. You do not have to become the person who works out 30 times a week during the perfect phase, unless you make money off your body.. The good news is you do not have to follow their extreme plans to get results. In fact, following them will pretty much ruin your chance of getting results, long term. They will probably leave you injured and frustrated. I would also like to mention that selfies
of your workout DO NOT result in extra calories getting burned.
We are going to focus on REAL WORLD TRANSFORMATION. I work with people in the REAL WORLD. Your day looks likes this.....
=>is the weekend over already ?
=>taxes!
=>it's allergy season! I just want to breathe!
=>Why did I sign junior up for 4 teams? in the same season?
=>my neck! my back! my neck and my back?! OH!!!!
=>my boss is getting on my last...…
=> I spend all my time traveling! for work!!
=>Is it time for bed yet? You mean it's not even 4pm?

Get Started. Do something. Anything! Go for a walk. Ask for help. Anything! Please don't follow the typical FAD GYM+DIET method of transformation. You know the places who take people who have not worked out and put them through "hell week." The "couch to 5k workouts in a week" method does NOT work! LONG TERM! Most of you don't need to be jumping on boxes or doing anything extreme to get results. The highlight reel of "your trainer" or someone with a lot of IG followers is probably not going
to be YOUR best workout plan!
So what do you need?! => Try Realistic expectations!! I am not saying lowered expectations. What if you went from not working out the last 5 years, to getting in 8 to 12 quality sessions a month? You can then add in ANY form of light activity on the off days. Try starting there. Be CONSISTENT with it!
Something is better than nothing. Don't get so angry at missing a week that you skip a year! When you are so focused on being "perfect" or have "unrealistic expectations" those things WILL happen! Do anything to keep momentum going! So when you have those "perfect" times, you are making REAL progress! Not just losing weight you would have never put on in the first place!
I never get angry at people that miss a few sessions. Or even those who have been away for a while. I stay on top of them. But I don't get angry. I just know that the difference between a successful transformation(or reaching any goal) and those who fail is...….
