Best Exercise? Body Part Specialization?

Published: Mon, 04/24/17

Hi

In order to get you to click on and read an article they first have to come up with a cool catchy title. It will often be misleading, and in most cases the content of the article is also. There is no generic best exercise for everyone reading the article because we are all different....previous exercise history? injuries? goals? body type? This is the  reason why our group sessions don't have everyone doing the same thing. It is also why the consultation before the first session is so important.

The best exercise or program is the one you will actually do, and there is more to it than "just exercise." There is a mental component to it, and that is why having someone hold you accountable can be more important than finding the "best program". If you keep chasing the best program you will switch every other week instead of sticking with something.

Better body part articles will get you every time. If you want to improve a body part the first step is to lose fat through diet so there is more definition. This is not toning, its getting stronger and building muscle. And no ladies, you will not look bulky. They use the word toning with women because most are afraid if they hear gain muscle.

Focus on the basics. Want better legs? Try squatting deeper and with correct technique before adding the other 200 million exercises that somehow always require a "cool piece of equipment that is on sale now!"
