Do the Opposite to get Results!

The main reason it's hard for people to get results is because there is too much information out there , with most of it being wrong. My goal is to remove the clutter so you can make steady progress towards your goals. I am convinced that if you just did the opposite of what 90 percent of the people are telling you, you would finally reach your goals.  The majority of people make rapid progress for short periods of time, and then go backwards for  longer periods. The fitness industry wants you to think that overnight success exist. Instead of developing habits people reach for the next fad diet or new piece of equipment. Below are a few examples  of what I see are common mistakes when going through the transformation process.


THE INTENSITY SWEET SPOT- Most people are either sitting down on exercise machines not even breaking a sweat or they choose one of these crazy intense exercise programs that leads to burnout or injury. We help members find the sweet spot so they can make long term progress. Of course this will change over time as you progress through the program. Most people start out way too fast.


LACK OF VARIETY, OR TOO MUCH- There is no way you will stay on your program if its boring and you don't look forward to it. There is also a problem with so much variety that you never get a chance to master basic movements. You have to find that sweet spot with this also. We like to focus on  some basic movement patterns that will give you the majority of your  results and then throw in some fun things to keep it interesting.


COACHING/TECHNIQUE/LEVEL SYSTEM- This seems like common sense to say that you should be doing the exercises correct. Investing in a quality coach can be the difference between getting results and getting an injury. The coaching process starts with the consultation before the first session takes place, which I feel is the most important part. If the coach does not take the time to screen for injuries, help you find your level, set goals,  and give you modifications then its just a cheap group class. A coach will know when to push you, and in some cases when to bring it down a notch. A coach will be there for you when you need them!


ACCOUNTABILITY AND TEAMWORK- This is the difference maker! That check in when a member misses is one of the main reasons our group sessions work so well. That commercial gym does not care after they get your membership, and as a result most of their members don't use it. The members in your group will also become your support group.  No one can be successful going at it with no help!  


Note to current members---Get those food logs in, schedule your follow up assessment, and also your 30 min. consultations so we can review goals! ...and then send in those AFTER pics!


MAKE AN INVESTMENT IN YOUR HEALTH- View it as an investment!! Most people will spend more on a weekend drinking beer and partying then they will on something that will improve every area of their life! You are too stressed? Exercise helps with that. You don't have time? Expect to lose time and quality of life if you don't take your health seriously!
