I hate writing this but….
It has to be said. Again. And again.
What I am getting ready to say will NOT shock you! I had to come up with a click bait-ish subject line to tell you the obvious. Below are a few tips…..
Walking daily is the best exercise for longevity. That 10, 000 step number just sounds cool. It’s more marketable than 7000 steps. But if
you are getting over 7,000 you are in a good spot.
You need to be doing a full body strength training program 2-3 days per week. What good is living long if you are not really living. If you are not capable of going on a vacation and enjoying it. If you need someone else to take care of you. If you can not take care of others. Yeah, that is the real reason behind the strength training as you age.
You need a quick daily routine for mobility and flexibility. You do not need some hour long session every day.
You need to go to bed at a reasonable time in order to get quality sleep.
Nutrition is not as complicated as the fad diet gurus want you to believe. Most of you need more protein, water, and fiber. Less
processed foods. Find a calorie amount that helps you reach your goals. Most people will fall into this naturally if they are eating the correct foods. Not the processed junk that will cause you to eat more. Find a meal frequency pattern that works for you!
