Putting weight BACK on?! Here’s why…
Did you lose weight just to put it back on? Most people who lose weight end up putting it back on at some point. It’s more than the obvious exercise and nutrition. Let's dive a little deeper. Here are a few reasons….
Extreme
workout plans do not work long term! - Extreme workouts lead to injury. They lead to burnout. They lead to the mindset that when you go back to a “normal” routine it will not work.
People tell me they need hardcore workouts 5 or 6 days per week. This is not true. You need to challenge yourself with strength training 2 to 3 days per week. You need to be more active with walks and low impact cardio. You need a short
simple mobility and flexibility routine you can do daily.
Diets do not help - Copying the extreme diet of your favorite influencer or model will never work. Diet plans need to be individualized to fit the person. There needs to be a progression plan with nutrition. The goal is to develop strong habits.
Lack of
assessments- So many people are losing weight and gaining muscle, but get frustrated. You need to look at more than the scale. Take measurements and bodyfat percentage so you know what is going on. Weight loss is not a good thing if you are losing muscle.
