More Snacks! No, not that kind:) Today we will talk about Exercise Snacking!
What is an exercise snack? - Short Bursts of exercise throughout the day. Maybe it’s two to ten minutes to get in a few sets of an exercise. It might be HIIT (high intensity) or maybe it's not!
Who can benefit? - Everyone can benefit from exercise snacks! It works great for those who are having a hard time blocking out longer periods to workout. Based on where you work, you might be able to take a quick exercise break in between long bouts of sitting.
When? - Exercise snacks can take place whenever you have time! It works well if
you can space them out throughout the day! Two to four snacks throughout the day can work just as well, or even better, than longer workouts.
Where ? You obviously don’t need a gym for exercise snacks! They can be done at home. They can even be done at work as long as you don’t look too weird 🙂
Best exercises and equipment? The
best piece of equipment is your bodyweight! Bands, dumbbells, and kettlebells also work out great! The same exercises that work during longer workouts work for shorter workouts.
