Most people think doing tons of cardio is the best way to lose fat fast. But they are wrong. Cardio is important, but not the most important thing. A few tips….
No amount of exercise will make up for a
terrible diet!
Let's get this out the way from the start! You will NEVER out-exercise a bad diet. Exercise helps but it’s way more than burning a few calories.
Strength training must be done!
Strength training is a MUST for fat loss! No, you will NOT get bulky. That is a myth.
Building muscle will improve your metabolism which allows you to burn more calories the other 23 hours of the day. This is
key!
You
don’t want to be the person who loses weight and ends up looking worse. So many people crash diet and end up losing muscle and strength. Pay attention to the inches and not just the scale.
It’s not all about cardio!
Yes, you need to do both. So many people make the mistake of evaluating exercises based on calories burned. It's so much more than that!
People make the mistake of thinking traditional cardio is the only way to get the benefits of cardio. A lot
of different activities get your heart rate up and allow you to see the benefits.
We like to focus on low impact variations you can do for life. If you choose the right strength training exercises you can burn more calories than doing traditional cardio.
The other 23 hours!
You can have the perfect exercise and nutrition plan and still fail to lose fat! Make sure you are getting enough sleep. Make
sure you get those steps in and stay active outside of your structured workouts!
