☑️ Joint pain? Bad Posture?This
helps!
Posture –
Poor posture
causes muscle tightness, muscle imbalances, increased stress on joints, and compressed nerves. The majority of injuries are a result of bad posture.
There are two
types of posture, static and dynamic. Static is how you hold yourself when you are not moving. Dynamic posture is how you hold yourself when you are moving.
Being aware
of good posture and trying to maintain it is NOT enough. Because the underlying problems are not being addressed if you fail to follow a quality training program.
We work to
improve your upper back strength, core strength, and stretch out your chest and shoulders. For dynamic posture, we add varied movements and assess your posture. We assess the entire body to find the real problem.
Movement quality/Bad technique -
Movement
quality is how effective you are at performing specific exercises and motions. If you are always using heavy weights with bad technique, you will get hurt.
Improving
technique is a form of progression and we address all aspects. Most people think you are either born coordinated or not. But we can improve this as we improve strength, mobility, flexibility and address muscular endurance. Using a variety of different movement will improve overall movement quality.
Muscle imbalances-
A muscle
imbalance is when one or more muscles are stronger or larger than others. These imbalances can cause joint pain, reduce mobility, and lead to repetitive use injuries.
A common myth
is that you can fix a muscle imbalance by stretching. This might help, but it’s not as important as a program that includes mobility training, corrective exercise, and adding more varied movements. We address the underlying issues so you can get rid of muscle imbalances.
Arthritis
Arthritis,
the inflammation and degeneration of joints, is one of the leading causes of joint pain.
Rheumatoid
arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disorder where the body’s immune system attacks its joint tissue. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a breakdown of the cartilage within the joints.
Arthritis
from aging will not stop you from reaching your fitness goals. Do not use it as an excuse. You just have to be smart about hiring a qualified trainer to design a program focused on your needs.
Plenty of studies
have shown the benefits of exercise when it comes to improving arthritis. You will have good days, and bad days. Use the good days to build strength, improve flexibility, and set you up so the bad days are not as bad.
