☑️ How to stay consistent with your exercise
plan?!
Most people have struggled to consistently follow an exercise program. Here are a few tips on
how to remain consistent, even during the toughest of times.
Block out time on your
calendar-
This one might seem obvious, but if it’s not blocked out on your calendar it will not happen. Everyone is busy, so don’t use this
excuse. The funny thing is the people who can do it anytime, still don’t do it if it’s not treated like an appointment.
Without your health, you have nothing. Make time for it.
Switch things
up-
Sometimes people get bored, or don’t feel challenged enough. Switching up your routine might make you more
motivated!
Goal setting
-
Having goals that are either too easy, or too hard, will cause you to lose focus and motivation. This will make it hard to stay on
your plan. Remember to change your goals as you make progress! Set up a free consultation with us to set goals!
Realize exercise CREATES time
-
People who consistently exercise are more productive, have more energy, and think better. They also take less sick days and trips
to the doctor. You are not creating more time when you ignore your health.
Get a trainer and/or an
accountability partner -
If this is the only thing you do, consistency will improve! A big difference when you have a trainer and/or a group of friends
waiting for you. Success is always a team game!
Prevent injuries
- Following a well structured exercise routine will help prevent injuries and improve recovery time. Work with a trainer to perfect your technique and help you find the right starting point. Most people who get injured
on an exercise routine are starting up too fast or push too hard.
Try waking up earlier
- You have more willpower earlier in the day! Later in the day you are tired and a million events creep into your schedule.
Instead of saying you are not a morning person, try replacing late night TV and snacking with going to bed earlier! Gradually
increase your wake-up time.
